My passion for fishing and the outdoors began on Namakan Lake, connected to the East end of Rainy Lake at Kettle Falls where my family has had a cabin for almost 25 years. I learned to drive a 9.9hp Johnson tiller at the age of 8 and was hooked ever since. I started working at the Thunderbird Lodge on Rainy Lake during the summers as a dock boy when I was going to school at UMD. I received my coast guard captains license in 2017 after graduating college and have enjoyed guiding and exposing people to what this great area has to offer ever since.  I enjoy fishing for all species Rainy Lake has to offer. After the guiding and hunting seasons I work in construction for the remainder of the winter.
