Northern Water Excursions, LLC.

Being a Full-Time guide and U.S.C.G. approved instructor, I’ve been told that it’s easy to see the passion I have for being on the water. Fishing, Tours, Hiking, and Shuttle Services in Voyageurs National Park are just a few of the services that I provide. The most important factors in my life are faith, family, and being on the water. As a second-generation Captain, being on the water has been a way of life. I grew up fishing the Great Lakes, and then as my passion developed, I followed in my father’s footsteps by competing in Walleye tournaments across the entire Midwest. I guide for Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Sturgeon, Northern Pike, and Musky in addition to the traditional Walleye fishing I have grown to love. I started fishing Rainy Lake in 2012 and fish both U.S. and Canadian waters regularly. In the little bit of free-time I do have, I give back to the community by serving as a multi-term president of the Rainy Lake Sport-fishing Club.

Training others on how to become a United States Coast Guard Captain or obtain what is referred to as a United States Coast Guard 6-pack is a service that I provide. After undergoing a laborious/rigorous process to become a United States Coast Guard approved instructor, I was able to develop a Captains Class program that allows for in-person classes/training. I have worked with a previous instructor who had roughly 30 years of experience in preparing and teaching USCG approved courses. This business is also set up to administer tests to other Mariners to qualify for their USCG Captains Licenses. With my experience and knowledge, I will also privately tutor individuals to help them pass their USCG 6-pack Captains License exams (regardless of you taking my class or having another instructor/online). These training services take me in multiple states in the Midwest including the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
