I grew up fishing on Rainy Lake and spending summers at my Grandparents cabin on the East end of Dry Weed Island. Ever since I was a young kid, I loved fishing, exploring, and being on Rainy Lake. I started working on Rainy Lake at the age of 14 as a dock boy for Rainy Lake Houseboats. When I turned 18, I started guiding in the summer months while receiving my degree in Parks and Recreation from Moorehead State University. Following my passion of the outdoors, I decided to guide full time and have been for 20 years and am the owner of Border Country Outdoor Adventures; which is a year round guide service on Rainy Lake and Rainy River. I specialize in walleye, crappie, small mouth bass, northern pike, musky, and sturgeon.
